CREATIVE
STUDIO
SUMMARY
I would very much like the opportunity to take this over. I believe that I could improve on a majority of the angles by giving it the same level of care I see in this example.
PRICING
$800 for the 6 studio shots.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Logistically and financially this could make a lot of sense. You only need one sample to send to me for studio and then to go out into the field with.
LIFESTYLE
SUMMARY
One day devoted to lifestyle photography can yield a lot of great assets. The trick is in the pre-production: finding locations, models, wardrobe, props, etc.
PRICING
$1200 is for a couple hours of shooting locally so that I can come head back and spend some good time in post.
$2400 would be a full day of shooting and a full day of editing.
FINAL THOUGHTS
I am always more effective if I can shoot with a spot in mind. If I know that I am shooting for the PDP, I can light it to match and edit to make sure the colors are consistent, etc. When we walk around and get what we get, we can some decent shots but nothing tends to be super powerful.
The pricing above assumes Tecovas handles the pre-production. I am happy to do that too but at $800 per day. Either way, once we get into a rhythm of people and locations, pre-production gets quicker, easier, and cheaper.

SUMMARY
I think making some short 10 second moving assets could be powerful for a new launch or promotion. You provide a budget and general idea and I write back a treatment for how I am going to do it for the cost and what it will look and feel like.

FINAL THOUGHTS
Again, if we already have the boot in the field with the model or on the table for the studio - creating moving assets becomes easier to coordinate and cheaper to produce. Everything I do, I shoot on a $50,000 cinema camera so even a simple 10 second, one-take shot of someone walking would look awesome and professional.
Models
Friends and Fans
Models can be free for trade for boots. My wife was the black Penny’s so she is happy to do that in exchange for boots. Peyton was the same and we can work on building up more of a local roster around here. The only challenge is that we are limited to shooting on the weekends typically and are praying for decent weather if it’s an outdoor shoot. I am size 9 and so my wife and I can go out on a long date night and shoot each other :)
Agency
$600 -$1200 per day. We can shoot anytime and they are quick and easy to schedule. We find out handful and then booking a shoot becomes as easy as a quick email.
tecovas 12-mONTH
WHAT
I’d like to look at all of the creative needs and goals Tecovas has for the next year and then write out budgets accordingly. This is mapped out in a way that is easy to see and visualize what’s coming up. I then divide that by 12 and that becomes the monthly cost.
WHY
For me, I can predict work flow, not over or under book which stabilizes the ups and downs of my project-based business, I get better and better at speaking to Tecovas’ audience, pre-production becomes easier because we start to get into rhythms, and ultimately partner with a brand that I very much enjoy shooting and fits well with the other brands on my roster.
For you, you have one place to manage creative which means less logistically and less samples going out. You also eliminate cash-flow issues if you have a larger shoot because it has been averaged out into a predictable monthly cost. I also treat my brands that I manage as family meaning that I am readily available, thinking about how to better the next shoot for you, providing discounts on the rates, not worrying about jumping in and helping on something misc., pitching new creative ideas for fun.
